This pop up is loved by my step daughter. I ordered a used "good" copy and it arrived looking like how I expected, with a small tear on the cover, but no damage inside of the book.
I bought it gently used, but one of the pop-ups didn't function, at all, and there was a dedication written on it. I had not anticipated it being that used.
Great book
Just bought a new copy for my grandchildren. The illustrations are brightly colored, beautiful and sufficiently detailed to maintain interest after many viewings. There are also many tabs to move animals and flaps to uncover illustrations of additional animals. My first grandson, (2.5 yrs) loved this so much that I gave him my original copy. We looked at this daily when I visited for over 2 weeks and he never tired of it.
I love Jerry Pinkney's books. His illustrations are so beautiful. When I came across this undersea pop-up by him, I bought it immediately. It is one of my 4 year old daughter's favorite books.
I had theses books as a kid and spent hours looking at them. Now my son does the same with them. he is two and loves the interactive pull tabs and the intricate designs and hidden animals on each page.
This book was purchased for my granddaughter's 3rd birthday. We took her to an island to celebrate her birthday, and this gift was excellent considering where we were at. She treated the book very gently and spent hours looking at it!
