This book will give uou an introduction to the ArcGIS interface. The book gets with it. In a few pages you wil know your way around the software. And the book is not expenssive.
This book is a great help in learning GIS. It is quite simple to read and understand, yet complex enough to really help you gain a handle on GIS. I'd say its a must buy!
The How-to Manual is a great reference tool in guiding the reader through the newest version of the Arc GIS software and serves as a smart refresher guide to succeeding in GIS.
This book has been very helpful for me while working on the job because it shows how to use the tools and functions that I rarely use but need to know. Perfect for a reference guide. The book is a HOW TO guide book so it shows the steps used to preform a tool in GIS 10.0.
Thought this would have more of a lookup table for finding features and functions. It's more of an extended sales plug.
It is great for someone that is new to GIS.
