What an amazing conclusion to this rock-star series! I absolutely loved getting to read about Mike finally getting his happily ever after, and Hailey is just such a sincere and genuine character that I couldn't help but love her too (her cousin is a serious bitch though, damn I really hate Danica).

I feel the story was a bit predictable, but I just love the guys of The Last Ones to Know, and the girls they fell in love with, that I didn't mind knowing what was going to happen.

Oh, and I love Luke's character! Shaw really knows how to write about sibling relationships in a real way, I honestly feel like I've had some of the conversations Hailey had with her brother with my own.

Adam is still my favorite, but damn Mike almost gave him a run for his money!

This is seriously the perfect conclusion to this series, and I love that we're also given bits of information about everyone else. Oh, and besides for being the perfect conclusion, the absolute last sentence is just amazing. I know I'll be thinking about it for awhile.

Anyways, the stories may be over (insert sad face here), but that's what rereads are for!! I do kinda hope though that we get a Van story ... now that would be quite fun.

I have been waiting to read Mike's book since the start of the Mayhem series and I am so happy to say that Jamie Shaw does not disappoint in the least!

Mike Madden is the drummer for the up and coming rock band The Last Ones to Know. He has watched as his friends and bandmates find love and really Mike is the one who is really been looking. He thought he found it with his childhood girlfriend Danica but really she is only after one thing what makes her look good. Then when he meets Hailey Harper, sweet, beautiful and loving he finally finds the girl of his dreams - the problem is she is Danica's cousin.

Hailey Harper needs her cousin Danica; coming from a poor family Hailey's dream has always been to be a veterinarian, but Hailey needs Danica's fathers money to go to school. When her cousin drags her to a Last Ones to Know concert and she meets Mike her whole world is turned upside down. Mike is finally the one man who has given her that spark - he really loves her for who she is but can Hailey risk everything she has dreamed of for Mike, does she want to?

Jamie Shaw does something that can be very hard to balance, she writes Hailey with conviction and a sweetness that doesnt make her to cooke cutter. Told from Hailey's POV we can truly get a sense of her inner turmoil and insecurity but when she finally gets fed up stand back Hailey is a force to be reckoned with. Mike is as special as we all hoped he would be from the first 3 books. He loves his friends and Hailey unconditionally and will do anything to make everyone happy (even fly home for a few hours). We do get to see the other members of the band and I loved that Dee and Rownan become Hailey's friends - also there maybe a cameo from Leti (so perfect).

All in all Ms Shaw does a fantastic job wrapping up the series and gives Mike the book he deserves. I cant wait to see what she comes up with next!
My favorite book of this series has always been Adam's book, Mayhem. I love Adam FREAKIN' Everest with all my heart! And I still do but my favorite has changed. Changed to Mike, the drummer. My drummer.

Adam, Joel and Shawn have always had rock star down but Mike is sweet, different. Yeah, he's the guy that's always tapping on something and really does hold things together with his beat but he's held himself back from the hordes of girls that want to give him anything he wants. He had fallen in love with his high school girl and though she tossed him aside, he couldn't let the idea of her go. Until she shows up again, sure he's the one that got away. Let's just say that I hate Danica with a passion that far outweighs her role in this story. She doesn't love Mike, just his rock star status. She doesn't see the fun gun who loves to play video games that is gentle and kind But her cousin does. But Hailey can't have what Danica wants. So let the havoc begin.

Campaign series are a favorite of mine. I love to see what the previous characters are up to while treasuring a new story. But normally I always love the first in the series best. Not this time. Poor Adam will have to step aside in my heart because Mike has taken his place. I adore this sweet, kind drummer that holds the beat to this band in more ways than one. And what does this tell me about the characters in this series? They are well written, full characters that provoke my emotions and have me turning pages to find out what will happen.

And what will happen? The feeling, the SPARK between these two is so real and true but it's held back because Hailey is a good person. She doesn't want to steal the guy her cousin wants even though her cousin doesn't really love him. She doesn't want to jeopardize her family or her school for what will only be a fling in her mind. But the feeling run much deeper than that and she's just gonna have to learn.

And the characters that I knew from before? So love how they take sides and see the real writing on the wall. Dee and Rowan made me proud!

Mike's big heart will capture you and hold you to these pages as you hope for his happy ending! There's just that magic combination of great characters, excellent writing and a story that I want to read that make these pages flying by! It's the kind of book you find yourself wanting to read again and again so the comfort of it can seep into your life over and over again.

This book can stand alone but who would want to miss all the fun along the way!? Don't miss a single one but remember that Mike is MINE.
