Do the dead dream? If so, what could cause them to wake?

Strange events haunt Corium’s Necropolis. The Order of the Red Dragon is at the throats of the Order of the Black. The Red Priests summon an ancient horror while the Black Priestesses build a fresh one. Both endanger Hyborea, meanwhile the city and the people face starvation. Shall Therian burn out one side or the other…or both?

"The Sorcerer’s Bane" is the fifth story in the Hyborean Dragons series. It is a Sword and Sorcery novella of dark fantasy by bestselling author B. V. Larson.

The man is just too clever for the barbarian everyone keeps calling him. He knows, ultimately, what has to happen even if it is not to his liking. He sees the train wreck coming, but doesn't flinch.

Just like every title in this series, this novella has annoyed me to no end. I am always left wanting more, and RIGHT NOW! The action sometimes seems a little hectic and unfocused (like my life oddly enough), but it grabs me and carries me along for the ride. And what a ride it is!
I honestly like Therian, he is a great anti-hero, and where would he be without the ever faithful, irreplaceable, and irrepressible Gruum?
I'm not expecting classic, immortal prose here, but I get plenty of action, intrigue, and angst. All I can say is I will read every one of the novellas as soon as they become available, enjoy every minute of the read, and then be annoyed all over again when it is over.

The Sorcerer Bane Hyborean Dragons Book 5 eBook B V Larson Reviews

Novellas ... quick and easy to read with the knowledge that another one is soon to appear! Such strange and wondrous characters! I'm growing to truly enjoy this dark king with all of his peculiar magic and dark deeds. I have enjoyed knowing that I will be able to read through one of these stories completely in the time I have available with no 'loose ends' except the promise of another soon to come. Write on B. V. I am a true fan!
Loved this series I want to see more of this story would recommend to anyone i know really a great read
Therian and his unlikely, but loyal vassal Gruum go looking for power so they can relight the sun.
Complicated characters and interesting adventures.
this series reminds me of the pirates of the Caribbean movies, Very entertaining.
I recommend this series it's dark but interesting.
I have read many books, and I really enjoy a good fantasy full of magic and surprises, and this book is a great example of how awesome this author is. I have read more than 15 of her stories and can't seem to get enough! I say read EVERY thing this author writes, you will enjoy them all....
I copied my review and posted to all books in series because they are sooooo good, and i was wanting to make sure to tell people, but save a little time too, so just cuz you read the same words on the prev books in series doesn't mean they aren't any less true, just READ the stories, you will enjoy them all.
(all her books are great)
I think Mr Larsen has hit on a great way to get people to pay way more for a book than one should by calling his chapters 'novellas'. maybe by extreme definition they can be called novellas but in my opinion they are nothing more than chapters of a regular book. In addition, these chapters or novellas or whatever are extremely dark, repetitive, and frankly are not worth reading. His characters exude horrific examples of what a family or friend relationship should be...in fact - there are no relationships of any merit... the 'narrator' follows this guy mostly out of fear... what else can he do... loyalty?? honor?? friendship?? no, no and no...his wife has no character definition and is virtually non existent except to be there to watch her father beheaded and to be raped... eventually the daughter enters the picture who is really a monster... but then... so is the father... I can't believe I was sucked in to buying several of these... I feel like I was used...won't even bother to try his other books...
