What can be said about the truth?! Your will rejoice reading this book.
In terms of "spiritual formation" this is one of the most significant books I have read.
A wonderful book outlining instructions for Orthodox Christians on their path to salvation. A very down to earth and not so deep to loose the reader. Some Orthodox terminology is assumed - maybe the only drawback to the book. In general, a highly recommended book for every Orthodox Christian library.
It is the best book i have read in a long time and i thouroughly recommend it
It is easy to understand and read and gives you a lot of examples of the desert fathers and how to apply the examples in our times

This is a powerful book and I know I will read it many times. It is not only a beautiful book made with the highest quality, it is full of treasure in these times of worry and emptiness. Full of grace and prayer, I feel as if I was in the room with the author. Truly enlightening for this present time with medicine that heals the soul and is truly helpful. I own many great books and I can say if I had to take only a few with me, this would be one of them. What a blessing! The shipment arrived quickly and was the most carefully wrapped book I have ever received.
This is an excellent book for devote Christians to read for a guide to the path of Salvation, but it is not written to be read lightly. These are homilies given by a Greek Orthodox elder from My. Athos, , and they are serious reading. Many of the homilies are good to read during Lent. All have great inspirational teaching.
The book itself is beautifully bound with color icons throughout.
This is a wonderful book. Full of icon prints and nice thick durable pages with a dim yellow tint. Aside from its physical attributes, the book is a fountain of spiritual consolation. It also pleases me to say that while gracefull in his delivery, Elder Ephraim is also truthful. With that, the truth can sometimes be hard to bear and accept, because it goes against our own will, plans, and desires. And occasionally it is presented as such in this volume (that's a good thing). I would highly recommend this be a part of any Christians library.
